for myself and all the other noobs out there can someone show or explain the differences between the usdm and jdm exhaust and why you cant use the jdm exhaust with a usdm factory header and what would would have to modify it to work. also if jdm axel backs with on usdm cars

if we're dealing with a cat-back exhaust, it's mainly the length of the midpipe that's different. if you want to fit a ctr, itr or dc5 catback a usdm ep you will either have to change your header to a ctr, itr or dc5 header OR cut the midpipe to mate with the usdm ep3 header/cat

i was looking at a ep3 axel back and a dc5 axel back and they look like they would bolt up to either car, anyone try this?

They would bolt up to our car but the dc5 axle back will be longer. If I remember correctly, it will stick out about 3 inches from the rear bumper.

so the muffler would be the same size, but the piping would most likely be long? if it would bolt up and just stick out, i can just cut it and tig it back to gether.

Correct.

Yup, if we're talking strictly axle-back, you just have to deal with that extra 3-4 inches of length in the piping. :thumbu:
