my megan midpipe hits off my heat shield so i took the heat shield off but it still hits. Is there anything i cant put there so it wont?

I took a pipe and bent the rear hangers a few degrees before I installed it because this is a common issue. Nearly one year and no banging.

its banging the floorpan of the car, not the heat shield. Either you can dimple the exhaust so it clears whatever its hitting or bend the hangers as EPSU3 said.

which hangers are you talking about?

hangers at the axleback connection, angle them up so the exhaust sags.

I installed urethane hangers in the rear and then I cut one of the stock hangers and wedged it between the midpipe and heat shield. Stopped all the banging. I hope the hanger does not melt on me. :)
