Exhaust Question

Hey guys,

I tried searching but couldnt find anything. I found a greddy evo 2 for an ep3 pretty cheap, but its just an axel back. Would I be able to bolt this on to my stock mid pipe? Will buying an aftermarket midpipe(megan,etc) work? Thanks for your help.

No, any axleback that is sold as part of a catback (greddy evo 2) will not fit the OEM midpipe or any midpipes with an OEM flange. The flanges are different. Now, you could always get it and have an OEM flange welded on by a muffler shop.

all axlebacks all have a flat gasket surface and the oem axleback has a donut gasket on the end

A rule of thumb is if they are selling it as an axleback, usually it will bolt up to an OEM midpipe. Spoon, T1R, J's racing, Megan - they all sell just axlebacks.
