My interior lights including the trunk are blue. The only one I haven't changed yet is the one that sits over the rear seat (I can't find the bulb anywhere)

I did not use gels or gel covered lights I used real blue glass oem conversion lights.

do we use the 194 bulbs or does it matter which bulb we use?

The front dome light and the 2 map lights are 194 or 168 (basically the same) The trunk light is also 194 or 168.

I don't know the code for the light above the rear seat.

This is one of the first things I did to my car. The interior looks so under hyperwhite bulbs. The specific bulbs you need are these: W-4's for the front map lights/front "center" dome light/park lights and a single M-4 for the rear dome light. Hope this helps you. Email if you need more help.:)

btw, i was thinking of getting purple lights, since i have a purple neon under each seat..would the purple light be bright enough to read something, or would it be too dark to do anything?

I would think it would be to dim. A friend of mine has a Cavalier (not my choice of car) and he had a single red dome light in it and you couldn't see ANYTHING. An idea you might wanna think about is, doing the center front and rear DOME lights purple and then either hyperwhiting or leaving the map lights stock, so that way when you opened the door(s), you could have the whole purple effect, but then you would have normal light when you need it. Of course those back-seat drivers might have a complaint about that though. :'(

good idea, i might do the center light, trunk light, dome light purple and maybe hyperwhites for the 2 map lights.

I just changed some bulbs, but differently, and for different reasons --

I changed the map lights to red for the purpose of preserving night vision if they needed to be turned on. It works great -- they don't bother my eyes in the middle of the night. They're not purely red, though -- they have a hint of blue -- so they're not "true" night vision lights. Still, they're a lot less disturbing than regular white.

BUT, anything on a map that's printed in red becomes completely invisible. I'm still debating whether to leave them in or go back to stock.

All the other bulbs are stock white. The map light/dome light cluster looks like a damned popsicle when all three are turned on... :D

for people who changed the rear dome light, do u know the measurements of the bulb? ex) #mm x #mm?

Dude, they are M-4's. There are only two types of the tube lamps that I have incountered one is thinner than the M-4.
