CEL with DRCH and Defouler!?!

Hey guys i just installed DCRH on my 02 ep3 with the angled defouler. My check engine light still came on but I was wondering if i had put the defouler in the right hole. I have the screwed the defouler into the hole closer to the exhaust. I was also wondering how to tell the difference between the primary and secondary 02 sensor.

unplug battery for about 30 sec. Then replug and drive.

the defouler is hit or miss. Some poeple still end up wiht a CEL

Mines after the cat. It's a bit loose then it rattles. The cel light comes on. I have to tighten it very good and reset the code on my scangauge Tho it's not a angled one.

From what I understand, primary is the one before the cat, secondary after. So on the header the one furthest from the engine.

yeah thats what i figured too but the mechanic took out the o2 sensors when installing the dcrh but im not sure if he put in the secondary or the primary sensor.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think thats possible. The primary one has a shorter cable length than the secondary.

Get your check engine light checked first before you assume anthing. Maybe your defouler does work on the secondary 02 sensor and the problem can be your primary 02 got damaged when taken out and installing on the dcrh. But either way, check that engine light to determine what the issue is.

I just got my codes pulled out from AutoZone and they were P1166, P1167, and P1298. Correct me if im wrong but the 1166 and 1167 are both for the primary o2 sensor?
