That is a sweet pic by the lake. BTW, do you live by that lake? Is that why you pay so much for that house? If not, then you must be trying to pay for that house in 15-10 yrs. either that or where you live it is hella expensive.

$1438/mo for 30 year with a 7% APR...
I live in New Jersey, that's why it's so expensive...
In the $160-170k range, there's not much out there...
Coulda bought a friggin' mansion down south for $165k...
But got too much family up here...

Yes, they are real Buddy Club P1 Racing.
But they are the SF series, not QF = forged.
They are still crazy light, 17 lbs each.
17" SF retail for about $260/ea.
I paid $650 for all 4.
And tires are 215/45/17...
Paid around $1300 total after shipping/mount/bal/lug/locks/etc.
They're nice but some fools keep thinkin' they're 15's!
I guess it's the design of the wheel...with the lip...
I love em tho...

`how did your overall ride change when putting on the p1 17's?
`more bumpy, less?
`do you feel like like you lost some torque or anything with the `switch from stock 15's?
`are they considerably louder?
(sorry for all the questions, I'm just really stuck in debate mode right now, about getting them)

i have to admit that i never liked the new blue color till now. it looks awesome on your car. guess it is just the whole package with wheels and everything that make it look so good. almost makes me wish i had not got silver.........no nevermind still like my silver

a shorter sidewall will always give you less flex = stiffer ride.
it's the trade off you have to take if you want to be able to corner without feeling like you're driving on jell-o.
the stock wheels/tires of the ep absolutely suck.
no, if you get a light set of wheels you wont notice any difference in acceleration (mine are actually lighter than stock 15's)
the tires i chose are not any louder than stock & grip 10x's better.
you will not be disappointed in any way...guaranteed...

thanx for the props on the wheels...
yea i love the way they look...
but most people dont believe they're 17's until they read the tire size...
wheels w/ a lip always look smaller...
i don't care though...i love 'em...

Beutifull car. I bought my Vivid Blue 03 three weeks ago and I've been surfn the net for a EP3 of the same color with various wheels. I've think I'm gonna go with bronze Black Racing N1s, 17x7.5 w/ 215/45s. Spokes on the Buddys seem thinner than the ones on the N1s. Now I'm so confussed.

YooShin
06-02-2003, 06:34 AM
I payed to much: $18,000 (sticker was 19,460). Like myself, most people in my area are idiotically/desperately paying a premium for the vivid blues. I could of got a silver or black one for $2000 less, like my brother did last weekend. At least I got the APR and terms I wanted.

How's the Hondata working out? I've heard that it's suposed to give about8-10 hp and 10-12 lbs. trq from 3k to 1k short of redline. That would be very substantial gain considering the increase in rev range, offering a lot more flexability in pulling power.

ADAMnQuickCIVIC
07-19-2003, 11:09 PM
def. feels like it pulls stronger throughout...
power drops off around an indicated 7500 rpm...
as for hp/tq i have no idea....

Hey Adam,

I can't understand how everyone keeps saying that the going price for these things are 15-16k when the invoice price is like 17.5k (according to edmunds.com). Are the dealerships selling these things at a major loss or something? I bought mine for 17.1k in May '03 from Mac Honda on 37, and I thought that was a great deal. I recall they had a factory promotion going on, something like a $500 rebate to the dealer. But unless they are anally raping you with interest and bogus fees, I can't see them selling it for much less. (Or is the real invoice price actually much lower?) How is it that people are getting them for so little?

Steve

I can ship them to anywhere you want, but if i dont ship to the confirmed address i just cant guarantee you get them....or you can come to Toms River if not too far and I will install them for you...

(Or is the real invoice price actually much lower?) How is it that people are getting them for so little?

yea thats where i got mine...i think i paid around $18k if i remember right...but at that time i didnt know they were selling for so cheap...and i didnt know of ephatch...people get the so cheap because theyre a horrible seller for honda and some have sat on lots for 2 years and they just want them gone...

yeah, exactly. When I got mine, no one had heard of the car so it was pretty pricey. And ephatch was just coming around, some wannabe ricers reffered me to it, when they found out what I drove (they were wannabe ricers cause all they talked about was ricing cars, but none of them had a car, or even knew how to drive stick ROFL). Anyways, yeah, they sit there on that lot for awhile now. They have some '03s there, tented and all, going for like 16k cause they have 4 still.
I paid like 21k = 17k + 2-3k(taxes) + like 1-1.5k (gap/warrenty/lifetime oil changes) + (tags and plates) (if someone claims they paid 15k, that means they only paid like 12-13k and the rest is taxes...I doult ppl are paying this low)
plus, that would include no warrenty, no gap, probably no plates or tags. =) damn liers everywhere. post recieps. :D ;) :p

Love your car Adam, are you gonna turbo, or get a toda package and go all moter or ext...?

I would LIKE to go turbo, but $$$ is a problem right now, especially w/ the kid popping out in a couple months.
In the meantime I'll either be happy w/ mid 14's or continue w/ bolt-ons...the Toda race Header gives like +35 HP +30TQ in midrange and nice gains throughout....but its expensive...DC RACE HEADER looks similar to the Toda but about 1/4 the price, if its ever released...maybe a little N2O in the near future...I dunno...all depends on how my finances work out...
