My A/C clutch seized last year on my way to Import Alliance and I had it towed to a janky ass shop (which I didn't know it would be like that).

They just guessed the belt size for bypassing the A/C pulley and its not exactly correct.

I am wondering if anyone knows the specific belt for our cars to bypassing the pulley and is the correct ribs.
Any information would be appreciated- Thanks!

I don't think you will be able to find a 7 rib belt that fits with the A/C removed. I searched and searched and couldn't find one.

If you aren't going to fix the compressor, you might be better off getting a bypass/idler pulley. That way you can use the same belt.

I thought it was only a 4 ribbed belt...? I believe there is a 3 ribbed belt on there currently, but definetly not 7...

It's definitely a 7 rib.

Yup 7 rib is oem, I think the belt I'm using on my k24 with A/C delete is for a Non-A/C PT cruiser and its 6 rib. Not sure if this one would work on yours since the k24 block is a little taller.

Sorry I am retarded. I am thinking about the supercharger belt on my other civic.

If you find the length of belt you need and you cant find a 7 rib, look at the 8,9,and 10 rib belts. Youre more likely to find a belt of proper length in those widths, and its real easy to cut off the extra ribs to make a 7 rib.

I want to say i needed a 52.75 length belt for no AC on a k20 block... but i also have a larger crank pulley. On k20a.org its posted that an AC bypassed k20 with the EP idler and tensioner requires a 50.5 length belt, 7 rib of course. ; )

I wanted to add that you can goto www.goodyearep.com > Aftermarket Parts-Automotive > Products > Belts ... and check out the Gatorback Belts list. Its really easy to find the size you need, and there is a supplied part number to go with.

Auto Zone carries Gatorback Belts, and if there isnt one of those near you, you can always order what you need from Summit Racing online.

if you have the K20a3 and are bypassing the A/C, this is the belt you use. 6 ribbed and fits.

So a 51.75 inch belt for the K20a3 sans A/C?
I'm reading anything from 50.5 to 52.75 on other sites with no definitive answer...

I got my belt size from a piece of string i wrapped around the pulleys, and used a wrench to hold the tensioner in its proper place. It was easy for me though, as my engine was out of the car and on an engine stand... before teardown. Again though, im using the larger CP from the k24z Accord engine.
