hey watup fellas need personal opinions, i think i got a pretty good idea what the majority of ephatchers will say lol, but i just got a decent job getting paid good money, and all i can think about is my car and where to throw the money to, motor wise...... things to keep in mind, i need reliability, not a turbo guy, and i dont race no more but i love speed when in deed in need to relieve stress and what not, im stuck between either rebuilding a k20a3 head like upgrade valves, springs with stage 2 cams, or just saving up to get a k24 swap, im only looking for maybe 200-240 horsepower nothing crazy or to take to take to the track but more of a my shit got balls type of deal what u guys think, and whats the average of a k24 motor from what u guys know,,,thanks opinions appreciated

thats the non vtec correct

EVERY K-series engine has both VTC and VTEC !!!!

TS, For the power level you are looking for I would not start with anything but the K24A2 as a base for your buildup.

If I do it all over, I'd def. go with k24 and slap on a nice tranny upgrade.

I would rather go with the K24A2 right from the start, better head, better crankshaft, better rods, better pistons, pretty much a win, win, win, win, situation.....

For the best dollar to N/A whp gain i would do an 06+ k24a2 swap with a close ratio 6 spd transmission with LSD. A modified dc5 type r transmission or a modified fg2/fa5 transmission will do. In addition to I/H/E, get an rbc or rrc intake manifold, KELFORD stage 1 cams, 9LB Flywheel and k-pro. You will make about 230-260whp and 180-200tq. This is my dream set up. This set up will run 8k redline rpm's all day and will never leave you stranded like a boosted set up. You will race all day, then get home at the end off the day without worrying about busted hoses, overheating and all the other bullshit assosiated with boosted cars. Also the tq curve on this set up is very predictable(linear) for circuit racing. This set up also gets good mpg as as long as you keep out of vtec(at least upper 20's mpg). This is a win, win, win, win, win situation....basically you get whp, wtq, mpg, reliability, predictability and peace of mind.

contact PAPITUYO326 for low mileage (less than 40k) 06+ tsx motors for about $2800!

or just go to a junkyard and get them for $1500
