i was just about to go jrsc-r on my a3 but i got persuaded to pick up a k20a2/z1 instead because there is more potential in the k20a2/z1. but i was reading up on the k24a2 and it was saying that the k24a2 has more power potential but i am giving up rpm's if i got with the k24a2. any help to push me to any directions guys? im planning to have another motor in my ep3 by my birthday (july). ill have 6k to spend and im thinking going jrsc-r right after so yea =D

I'd skip the k24 and do the a2 or the z1. You'll make up the torque difference with the jrsc

true but for the most part you can find a k24a2 for cheaper. plus the hp rating for the k24 is the same as a k20a2

get a k24a2 and throw a kraftwerks sc on there, my bolt on k24a2 made 191tq.....you wont see anywhere near that with an a2/z1

for the 6k you want to spend you should put together a JRSC-R k20a2/z1 head k24a2/a1 block you'll be making over 300hp and a crazy amount of torque and call it a day. this way you get the best of both worlds youre asking for

k24a2 all the way. No need to swap the head. The k24a2 head does just fine.

k20a3 with jrsc-r. thats enough for what you want. save the rest and throw it into savings.

It's a matter of power to weight from a roll. Most of the time it's all about the driver mod tho. If you put 230-240 at the ground you'll be in great shape.

ive decided im gonna go with the k20a2 it seems like it would be a easier sway and that u wouldnt have to switch over much parts from motor to motor thanks everyone for the advice and i hope ill make power that will make you guys proud =D

I say go with a k24a2. More torque = win races.

k24a2 doesnt need any extra parts either, just one motor mount bracket that cost like $30

One of the big reasons y I also want to go k20a2/z1 is that I can have highe reves I'm also going to put in work for the head and hopefully see some decent numbers with a good tuner.. hoping for something from 220-250 that's enough for a DD in socal

If you do a k24a2 your car will be so fast that this happens to your wheels

just to let you know, a k24a2 reving at 7k is the same as a s2k or k20 reving at 9 because the piston. and k24a2 start making power from 2k-redline, unlike the k20 which start after 4k.
