I did this about a week ago and i haven't seen a diy, so i thought I'd make one.
This is my first diy, so go easy on me

you will need:
8 wire taps
electrical tape
a really small screwdriver
2 sockets p# 33304-S30-003
2 bulbs p# 33303-S30-003
2 connectors p#04321-SH2-307
8 pigtails p# 04320-SP0-A00 or p#04320-SP0-B00
(I had a couple extra connectors and terminals, but you can go to the dealer and have them match it up)

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/parts.jpg

the brake/turn socket will transfer over with no problem. you will need to remove the connector from the top marker light and tap it to the reverse wire

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step1.jpg

Remove the terminals from the top marker light

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step2.jpg

you will need a really small screwdriver to lift the lock in the connector and remove the terminal

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/terminal.jpg

add terminals to the connector you removed

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step3.jpg

and to the connector for the new socket

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step4.jpg

Tap the new connector wires into the top marker light wires (it doesn't matter which way you tap the wires)

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step5.jpg

Tap the the connector you reused into the reverse light wires (it doesn't matter which way you tap the wires)

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step6.jpg

Everything should look like this

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step7.jpg

Electrical tape all the wires separately so they wont short out

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step8.jpg

and then install into your new (or should i say old) tail lights

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa426/ep3k20a31/step9.jpg

Do the other side and you're done :mcool:

hope this helps out all the people that want to do this. if i left out anything out please tell me.

nice, finally a DIY

so all you needed to purchase from honda is those 2 connectors and bulbs? the original bulbs dont fit?

what connectors are you talking about?

the reverse light socket and connector on the 04-05 tails will not fit anywhere on the 02-03 tails.
the top marker light socket will now be your reverse light socket and the new socket will be the top marker light socket. the brake/turn signal light will swap right over.
I had extra connectors and terminals laying around, but if you bring the new socket to the dealer they'll match up new connectors for the new sockets.
you can also ask for the terminals

they cant match up the connectors if they dont have them in stock, dealer never has parts for our cars in stock so im not gonna even bother with that lol. Can you look on majestic honda and give a part number for the sockets?

thanks

I'm wondering the same thing, but I think you'll get 5 pieces.
I can let you know next week.

Another thing you have to do for this is swap over the bumper holder bracket thingie on the bottom of your 2nd gen lights to your 1st gen lights. Its two philips head screws.

The connectors only come in packs of 5. You can't buy one single connector. Same thing with the pigtails

i looked all over, dealer only charges $83 each and most oem replica ones run within that price range so i would just get oem and spend the extra $20 or so

Question....
I'm gonna trade my tails for 03 ones. Is it possible to trade the swap also or will I still need the wires connectors etc.??
