I just got a z1 with pdr ecu kpro. Just downloded sofwere. And did the rsx tipe s calibration. But now. It won't rev over 4 thousand rpm I got a p1259 code. What can I do?

this should be in engine section, but it sounds like maybe a vac leak somewhere. reupload the kal to the ecu again and see if it is. then look at your map sensor, air:fuel, and short term fuel trim reading on kmanager while its running and let us know what it says.

you might either not have a good ground for the ecu, if you did not ground your wire to the valve cover like it says in the kpro manual then it could do that. Or if your running lean, there is lean protection where it wont let you rev past 4k to prevent engine damage. These are just 2 possibilities it could be a handful of other things.

now its showing primerisensor can i disable them with k pro? i cleared the chek light off in it revd good till it came back 3 seconds later i read that u need ep sensor im using z1

u can but i dont have kmanager available to me at this time. its only a certain code(s) for the o2 sensors (i think its under OBD/Diagnostic tab or something), but im sure it doesn't matter if its a z1 or ep o2. i could be wrong but if its running it sounds like it works.

Thanks any info is good. To me cus I'm a new @ these. First swap. All me learning as I go. Ill try to desable. And see what happens

actually you cant. its his primary not his secondary. even if you tried to it would come back on because your primary reads air/fuel. if you were to try and delete them,go to online and hit clear dtc's.

your right it only blocks sec o2, makes sense. i never block it though.

ok did more search looks like the 05 06 sensor is difrent you needx the 02 04 ep or rsx primery 02 sensor im going to get 1 and ill let u guys know what happens

o k so i changed the primery 02 sensor from 05 to 04 worked disabled the secondary worked for about 5 second then i got the errer code for vtec oil presure swith .disebled it and seems to work fine now im able to rev up to 9600rpm now. my question now is by disaboling the oil swith will i harm my engene?

aren't you supposed to check out the vtec solenoid, make sure its not all dirty and whatnot?

i did before i knew i neded the 02 04 primery sensor its clean i read online that you could disable the oil presure switch that it was a safety that jdm engenes dont support the sensor i have us tipe s but tipe r ecu i disabled it with the sec ondary 02 sensor and changed the primery and its running cool big difrense from the ep ecu hope im doing the right things now im only have to worry about vss or @list i hope thats the only problem now any info is welcome
