whats up(new member here) running 10psi on greddy trbo kit. stock internals. I want to bump the boost to 12psi, but not sure where the line is between having
to run race fuel or pump gas. Still a noob to tuning with my kpro.

Whats your mod's and your hp goal?

youll need a different map sensor to go above 10psi,.. the hondata plug and play 4bar i noticed is 99 on clubrsx

you can run that just fine on pump 91 or higher so long as its tuned correctly, the 300hp mark is as high as you should go on the a3 due too the rods being weak it like to puke them up around that mark or higher

If you're using a k20a3, your limit is at 300whp. period.
If you go beyond, you're a ticking time bomb.
I'd go with a Cr-v swap or Type-s swap before upping the boost.
Good luck though. Sounds like some fun.

Mods consist of, greddy t517 turbo, greddy cast manifold, k-pro, 2.5'' intercooler piping, 1000cc RC's, walbro255, 3'' full exhaust.
I would like to get close to or at 400whp without having to upgrade much more. A friend of mine is graduating in hi po auto at UNOH.
He disassembled the a3 as a in class project and said they are bullet proof(to an extent) with the factory forged crank and rods.
Pretty much was telling me that 400+ shouldn't be an issue with the stock block internals.

You need to do you're homework on this website and k20a.org. Our internals are weak as shit. It doesn't come with oil squirters to cool the internals. Go with a k24a1 block and you will be good for 400+ If you go 400+ whp on a stock a3 block, you're asking for snapping rods and exploding pistons. Get a k24a1 long block/ type-s oil pump/ and ARP rod bolts and head studs and you'll be set IMO.

Well.........i'm not familiar with the swap. Does it drop in with a3 tranny and engine mounts?

lol tell that to everyone that hit higher then 300hp and there blown engines, if you wanna hit 400 on the a3 go for it but youve been warned

Stock a3 @12psi is ok but if you want to upload more pounds then you have to open the motor and change the map sensor

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like i should study the k24 swap.

I'll tell the grad school's for fools.

u dont gotta open anything for the new map sensor, its on top of the throttle body. unclip it, take out the one screw, pop it off. replace with new map sensor. install one screw, clip it back on. done. and then tell kpro that you have (x) MAP sensor.

Is obvious he don't need open motor to change map sensor located on top of tb :-| i mean just change if he want increase more than 12psi for hondata 4 bar map sesnsor and is recommendable upgrade camshaft for turbo, pistons, etv etc etc

No its not recommended and its a waste of money to put pistons and camshafts in the a3 when its the rods that are weak. PSI is irrelevant when upgrading a motor you look at how much power you want to make not "i wanna throw 50 psi because more PSI = coolness". IDK why noone understands that,an example is he has a greddy turbo itll take amost double the psi then a t3 from a revhard kit.

Whats going to happen is.......this coming cold season the motor is getting rods, pistons, and a sknk2 valvetrain. I will then proceed to
hit 400+ The greddy t517 kit is good for about 350/375. So i'll probably have to hit up slowmotion for a sidewinder and bigger turbo.
hopefully the intercooler and piping is big enough.
