Hello all... I'm fairly new to this site but wanted to share my enclosure project. I got this car for free about a year ago from a family member with a blown motor. After getting it up and running, I wanted to upgrade the audio. I build/create systems for a living so I knew I needed something right away.

I had a basic box laying around but it took up more trunk space then I'd like and it just didn't seem to "fit". So I made a fiberglass enclosure on the passenger side to house my 10" Alpine type-R. It sounds great, it was built around the subs recommended air space, and frees up a lot of trunk space. It covers the light but I plan on adding an LED light to it.

I'm currently making one that installs in the floor that pivots up on hinges so I can access the spare tire... and will have pics of that up soon.

Anywho, here are some pics. Let me know what you think.

very clean. Looks almost OEM. Probably one of the best fitting fiberglass boxes I've seen in that location.

Most certainly the best looking fabrication that follows the existing interior.

Nice Job !

Thanks for the compliments. I thought about making them to sell but I didn't know if they'd be worth it. Anyway, hopefully I can get my new setup done soon. It's going to be very simple and will make the trunk floor look a little raised, but it's going to be "cleaner" looking.

I ended up listing this one for sale on ebay with the sub, if anyone was interested.

How much would you charge to make me one for a ten inch square sub? I live about 2 and a half hours away from you. Also, where did you end up putting the amps?
