I have the corsport shifter base bushings. When going into gear it feels much more solid, but that's about it. I also have the hybrid racing shifter cable bushings, those helped alot with play and makes each shift feel more like "a race car". The gear changes feel much more knotchy, but at the same time guided and smooth.

I recommend both

I have the Corsport bushings (base and shifter cable ends), and I guess they are good. It tightened up the feel, but I wouldn't say it was night and day. Then again, I replaced my oem bushings when they were still very new.

^^thats what im running. It made a big difference. Much more solid feeling in the shifter, less loose in the play side to side and you can feel the trans going into gear alot smoother too.

I was just starting to clean up my bay, and this was the shifter cable bracket before.

and after i sanded every thing down and repainted it, the cables are real smooth for having 197k on them. I also sprayed the rubber bushings with some silicone lubricant. and my shifting has been 100% smoother.

I still have to get new hardware, and still have more cleaning to do so be nice lol.

Whoa, I'm glad my car has never left Florida, lol. That's some crazy rust. Didn't realize how unforgiving the North is to cars.

Funny thing is that's the rustiest part of the car. Car gets parked in the winters now that I own it.

damn, i'm in canada and i have 90% LESS rust. and i DD mine all winter every winter... but i guess its too cold for road salt to do anything.... its just sand, and more sand and more sand.

NY salt I think is the big offender there!

you think so? the rest of the car is rust free. maybe the stock air box trapped moisture under there when the previous owner had it who knows.
