I would go with HKS because I have experience with them and their exhaust was very very strong. I say strong because I was in a civic that was lowered 3" and the exhaust took a huge beating. But even after hitting speedbump after speedbump and rocks etc it held up and didnt even develop one single rust spot or exhaust leak. they have a big  from me.

i think you should go to pep boys and buy a 8 inch tip and strap that on your ass.. then it will fart a lot..

greddy evo

The best sound overall would probaly be the greddy evo. The other exhausts are a canister style which put out good power but you are more then likely going to get that raspy sound at high rpms and when its cold. The greddy evo sounds great and performs great that is what I am holding out for!

GO MAGNAFLOW... LOOKS STOCK, MOST QUIT, AND COSTS 4 TIMES LESS THEN HKS, GREEDY AND APEXi
REMEMBER, U SAW MY EXHAUST ON FRIDAY NIGHT.
IF UR GOIN FOR A GOOD SOUND, NICE LOOK, AND U GOT MONEY TO THRO AROUND, GO WITH THE VEILSIDE TITENIUM, SOUNDS BEAUTIFUL. MY FRIEND HAD IT ON HIS SI.

HKS all the way! Look at greddy, they dont really have "race" inspired exhaust tuning. HKS and Apexi are nearly identical, but HKS has a more low growl. I have HKS Hiper and my friend who also has a silver EP just like me has Apexi N1( both W/O resonator) its much more high pitched.

does titanium really make a sound diff over steel or aluminum?

simann

the advantage of titanium is more of less weight. Stainless stell ,howerver rust resistant ,same with titanium, is very heavy!
Titanium to my personal knowledge is a far better resonance wise.
Heck, all the Formula One teams use Titanium exhaust manifolds and pipes, blocks and internals.

DC SPORTS!! Er.. wait, that's just because I have one. But I had an APEXi on my 240sx, and that was a great exhaust.. Very solid tone, but its a totally different engine/car. It fit great and looked very very nice. It was a beast in the noise department, it sounded so cool, but definately loud.

You really can't go wrong with any of those exhausts as they're all quality... but my vote is for APEXi on those three...

HKS sounds wicked, it growls , i HATE rice mufflers, the cheap $99 dollar ones!

I wouldn't get either as my taste have changed, but if I had to decide, it would be the greddy. It sits more flush with the bumper and doesn't have that angled look....but some like that

I wish Apexi still made the Dunk. To me even though it had a larger tip than what I like it was one of the best sounding exhausts.

apex dunk is high quality...they shouldnt have stopped making them. a friend of mine had that on his type R. sound was so monstrous and deep yet fresh. another friend had the n1 on his '00 si. loud as hell and more of a high pitch noise. hks hi-power and the n1 are very similar to each other but i think apex is a bit louder. both hks and apex make good products. n1 or hi-power? shiet...i dont even know. im still deciding.

i just got my evo catback from showstopper
they sell the cheapest evo out there
i like the sound low and deep
can definetly feel the difference at hight rpm
i hear other catbacks, but for me evo was
just right not too loud not too fancy
go with evo you won;t be disappointed

What about custom piping Vs. Cat Back system? this may sound like a stupid question but is thier a huge HP diffence between Cat back and Custom midpiping? Also i like HKS, just to have the name HKS would be nice, but i dont want a loud exhuast when i drive in low RPMs (below 3500)...Does any one here have an HKS system: Does ur exhuast system sound loud or notcilbly loud when u dirve below 3500 rpms?? I heard that the intake is louder than the system, which can be good.

i wold get the HKS HI-POWER exhaust i like the angled look. i would also just buy the universal muffler and get custom piping for like $400 heres a video clip from a DC5 integra type-R
http://www.hksusa.com/info/media.asp?id=1763

i thik it would sound almost exactly the same

Did anyone answer one of the original questions?
Which one is the exhaust that has that 'angled-look'??
I would like to know, since I really dont like that angled look.
But I too, am definately considering getting the Greddy EVO or the HKS.

Why not go custom? I have a straight through resonater in the factory space and 2.25" cat back no muffler with a dual Magnaflow tip and mine sound really good. Its a to each his own kinda thing though. Listen to sound clips and see which you like more.

If your looking for power and you N/A I wouldnt go bigger than 2.25" Mandrel Bent, I work at a performance shop and Ive only had my Ep for 2 weeks and been through 4 different exhaust set-ups so far. Everyone dyno'd over stock numbers.

The 2.5" had a bigger HP gain like 2 more hp but the peak HP and torque were up too high in the RPm range to be useful. the 2.25" put the peaks at 5300 (which when I shift at 6800 the rpm drops to 4800-5000) so Im dropping below the peak and pulling into it not dropping after it in the drop off area.

If going turbo the 2.5" should be more than enough for a 245-300 whp build

Plus on the 2.5" you lose on gas mileage.
