hi !! i was wondering what the ride quality, sound, turning, looks, rubbing, etc. for tire size 215/35or40/17 would be like? The setup i'm thinking about is black enkei EDR9 with yokohama s.drive (or soemthing similar)...

it'll be hard as a rock.. you might as well put rubber bands around your wheels

my car came with 18x7.5 inch rims and 215/35/18 tires. It was rough. I think that it caused all of my cars suspension to fail premature. Seriously hate my ep's PO.

why do you want such thin tires? i would be very careful with pot holes and whatnot.. i'd imagine that would damage your rims easily.

i'm pretty set on 17" rims and im afraid 45 or bigger would cause some serious rubbing...

What's the wheel size? Unless you're running some crazy wide wheels or are dragging on the ground i doubt you'll rub.

You'll be fine. You aren't lowered and you only plan on lowering an inch or two, so don't worry about it.

215/40/17 should be fine. ride quality might suffer a bit due to short sidewalls.

215/35/17 will suck. sidewalls are far too short.

215/45/17 are ideal.

yeah if you aren't low a 215/45/17 will bit fine
it will be 4x4 in my opinion
It was when I was on 17's
When I dropped it was quite fine as well

I was dropped on Skunk2 springs.
They are rated at 2.5F and 2.0 R.
It was more like 2.0F and 2.5 R.

sagging springs?

I had Eibach pro kit springs that were only rated for 1 inch drop in rear, but it was almost 2 inches before I noticed.
