Just thought i'd show everybody on what paying $400 for your valve cover to be redone with the Aurora finish. These are pictures I took today after the valve cover has been installed for a few months. Just thought I would post these to save you guys time and money on buying this worthless product. Again, I want to emphasis that the point of this is to help out all the other fellow members on here that have helped me and everybody else on here out, being thats the point of this forum to watchout for each other.

Anyways, enjoy the carnage:

yea, its just not a finish from that vendor that is ready for automotive applications. my guess is that it might need a clear coat applied or something, but it is a joke of a product IMO.

wow thats just Gay...
thanks for the heads up. i dont see why this will be lock/deleted since the purpose of this thread is just to show ppl what will happen to your VC after a few months of driving it. if you are a hard parker or have a car show/ trailer queen only then you should be ok with this product.

seems like bad prep work and finish. i would expect it to last better seeing your paying premium and not like 100 or somethin. sorry about your situation. http://dipped-parts.com/ does it for a lil cheaper from what i hear. someone test it out :)

i wonder how much heat the cover can handle. seems like it was cooking from the inside out. have you looked underneath the VC?

Should have gone with powder coating. I will bet ya dollars to donuts that the heat from the turbo was too much for an exterior body paint like that. A part like that is meant for a show car that is removed for DD and put back on at the next show.

that sucks, ive had bad luck with certain products before that werent properly tested...i usually let the vendor know...sometimes its certain environmental situations that contribute to the users poor experiences with a product, and that environment may be different than the testing the manufacturer does...

FOR THE RECORD, people get banned for the things THEY say, and the way THEY react when mods ask them to change the manner in which they are reacting...we are extremely cooperative if members themselves are...its not complicated and it doesnt need to be this dramatic

Well I did let the vendor know, and I only escalated my comments after he started being a dick, and the mods were more concerned with keeping their paying vendor happy rather it's members.

Ya that's not true, you don't listen when people tell you things...

If you have a problem with one of our vendors, take it up with them, continuing to make threads about it whining isn't going to solve your problem, if you want something fixed in this world you can't rely on other people to fix it...our vendors pay to sell, they aren't running a scam, we aren't going to get rid of a vendor that has supported this community as much as anyone over one defective product...you bought the product, it didn't work out, handle your own problem. Wayne is reasonable and you have many ways to get ahold of him.

More than likely your approach to getting compensation or replacement wasn't very cooperative, and his reaction was to not be as well...if you are in a situation where you need a moderator to mediate, then you deal with it in a mature cooperative manner which you have not done...

Alright, you got your point accross, we see the pics...message received (again and again), you aren't happy with the product...contact wayne, again, and deal with it in a mature manner, if you think you need mediation involve a moderator. Even if wayne was not a vendor and was just a member, he's been around a lot longer, so without involvement through your communication process, we can't do anything but take the side of someone who we know and trust and who has conducted himself in a mature manner.

This is the reality of the situation, if you still don't get it, then we can't help you...

Im closing this, there's nothing more to discuss and im tired of beating a dead horse

And for the record, I think the VC looks better now...

Another post of mine goes mysteriously missing! O_o

Don't worry about it, it wasn't done out of disapproval...I agree with what you said
