drove it to work while enjoying a pack of poptarts. a bird shit on my windshield as I pulled into work driveway. kind of set the tone for my day...

around 10:30 I left work to hit the post office and a small rock hit the windshield and it started a nice 6" crack about eye level running from the driver's side toward the center of the car. gayness in the anus.

Today ive caught my self staring out the window at my si. Thinking about all the parts i want to put into it. And have been looking online to fulfill the itch and buy some parts. ;)

drove to work, round 7:30 i get to leave work and drive two boxes to Purolator. take a chinese guy who works with me to help lift a box, gave him a nice QUICK drive to Puro! ;) drove back from Puro not quite as fast, and managed to get indoor parking at work for the night!
drove home in the rain, windows crack and sunroof cracked. gotta love visors.

I took my car to get my bc ball joint extenders:mcool: put in and get an alignment n guess what? they fucked up my axle dnt know how!:mmad: but now i had to pull out 180 dollars to get it put in. now this shop is reputable for good service:mrolleyes:. their charging me for an alignment, ball joints put in, and the axles with 1 yr warranty for 340... im just mad that i have to put out more money when my daughter turns 4 monday

Got some plans for the ep as soon as I get a few days to work on her.

yea they do..but its not a few bucks...its like $20 from the stealership. Best part, you know what it is?? a custom cut strip of 3M vinyl...thats it. I could have gone out and bought 5 feet of vinyl from a local shop for like $15 and done both sides with more left over.

Anyways, since I havent been around, on Friday I spent 3 hours trying to take that damned vynal off, cleaned up the rust under it and painted it with POR15, painted my B-pillar trim, window trim, and mirror base all with duplicolor trim paint to freshen em up. Also FINALY installed my SHG suede door inserts.

And today, started it up after not driving it for the weekend, and installed my "JDM" shift boot with Di-NOCed trim ring. Also installed a cargo net in the trunk cuz my gf didnt want it in her car anymore.

I was thinking the same thing about the vinyl, but I was suspicious because of how thick/stiff it seems (bought a used door that somehow has chips on it. :mrolleyes:)

went to an autoparts shop to pickup some stuff, came home, scrubbed the double sided tape off the sides from my skirts that i took off, used some rubbing compound to get rid of some scratches and scuffs i had on the body, and then took off my old work's sticker and replaced it with a CSCS (Canadian Sport Compact Series) sticker instead.

what I did for it, clear coated my freshly painted shaved valve cover and finished making up my oem/home made side skirt sticky clips. Bought oem side skirt clips that stick into the body, cut the peg off, sanded it down, put some double sided tape on it, left a copy of the criminal code of canada and an old amp sitting ontop of it to make sure the tape sticks.

This week I installed my aluminium shifter base and cable bushings, spoon sports shift knob, and OEM splashguards, and I cleaned and re-oiled my K&N short ram filter.

i wouldnt do it. When we tried to clear the lip kit, the stickers didnt want to stick anymore and turned almost transparent. We ended up using fiberglass resin and it worked better than the clear, but kind of turned the stickers yellow. Id just let them be.

Installed my Wilwood Dynalite kit and a rear SS flex line kit. And the fun bit to my day, I managed to crack one of the fittings to my Wilwood's flexline kit by overtightening it. Had to drive a mile back to the garage with just the E-brake handle. Scary shit.:meek:

So you move your signal light next to the reverse light but did you move your parking/break light on top?

That means you did a rear fog light on the last socket right? Where the original break socket is.

What's the purpose of it? Does it say on wit the parking lights?

Lol nvm I see. You just put it in the signal and move the signal next to the reverse light.
Yea i moved my turn signals in beside my revserse lights, and its on its own indipendant curicut, so it turns on and off as I need to. The purpose of the rear foglight is to have a bright light behind the car so that in dense fog or foul weather that cars behind you can see where you are. Its about as bright as my brake lights, so its very visable. Also its suppost to be on the side of the car closest to the centerline so that other cars can gauage how close they are to the centerline. They are standard/manditory in alot of european countries, and frankly I donno why they aren't manditory here in Canada.


O.T. I drove the gf home this morning, then went down to Purolator to get a package/part that was damaged in shipping, then to to the post office to pickup another package, and then out for lunch. And later today, im gonna stich up my new rear seat cover.

Got in a hurry today while jacking up the front of the car with the stock jack (the sears jack I had blew the seals and I'm too lazy to run to Walmart) and forgot to set the parking brake. Bent the front jack point on the subframe and little bit of the lower rad support. :doh::thumbd::Cry:
(luckily not enough to mess up the upper rad support - hood closes tight)
Oh well, suppose I can replace the subframe when I do the k24A2 swap next spring. :ohwell: (assuming I don't F something else up doing that.

Got the HID's wired, soldered, and tucked and half the DCRH unbolted for the KRRH install.

She had quite the day at the spa. I installed new brake pads all the way around and new tie rod ends (outer). While doing my back brakes I pull off the passenger side tire and noticed that my sway bar link was not even connected! It had broken off where the cheap plastic pegs were. So i went to Napa and installed it today as well. Then I dropped her off to get new tires and an alignment. Tomorrow she may be getting an oil change and new Depo headlights ordered.

today moved my ground for my amp to a better spot, dropped my headliner to fix some mysterious rattles but never really found anything, and reinstalled my hatch plastics that had been out forever because i was feeling motivated.

oh and i raced my dad's ecoboost f-150 from 20 to 90ish. i barely even beat him to 70 and after that he passed me and started to pull away. my car is too slow in a straight line haha:mcry:

It reminded me why the oil filter location in that car is terrible. I tried channel locks, gloves, no gloves, everything. I was going to put a screwdriver through it, but I couldn't even get it into the filter because there is so much shit going on in that area.

Finally, with enough cursing and force, it moved. But seriously, it took me like a half hour. For something so stupid, it was pretty aggravating.

But, today the car is running.... and smoking. Time to rebuild that turbo. :mfrown:

The Frams are easy to get off in the first place though because of that. I wish other manufacturers would do that. I just don't want to run a shitty Fram on the EP.

The honda ones I use all the time are no better, slippery but I would rather run this over any other one... short of those green hamp ones.
To stay on topic:
I took my EP into my friend at the local honda dealer for some quick diag to try and get my vtec back, hopefully this solenoid/pressure sensor I am buying will fix my non vtec limp mode issue.

Changed out both front LCA's put in new balljoints, tie rod ends, decreased the steering rack, aligned the rear.

I was installing my new springs and both of the axles pooped out.... spent an hour trying to figure it out, so just gave up and went home. Tomorrow morning, going back to my buddy's shop to try and get them back in place. Did a search on here, the explanations seem to be pretty simple/general, but if anyone has any tips, or a picture I would appreciate it.
Worst thing, means I have to take the bus to get to the shop......

same thing happened to me over the weekend when i was doing my coilivers. popped them back in after 30 mins of spinning the axle around slowly so the splines lined up.(such a pain in the ass) trick i used on the other side was, tie a belt around the hub/rotor to the frame where the tie rod comes out to hold the hub up so it doesn't pull out. then u can just swing the hub left and right to get the springs in.

(they have a pit not a lift) and I already went there and they made it worse..... idk what to do now. Id like to know were all these slammed guys are able to get the work done at... bc there isn't shit around here. When I get my own shop I WILL have a slammed friendly bay.....

Thanks for the info, I didn't use a belt but kept it in mind once I got one of them sorted out.
Felt like forever, but got everything back on and took the ep out for a test drive.
Happy with the new setup.

cleared my vtec system failure code, reset my ecu, bought some new tools, ordered a new idler pulley and tensioner pulley, and today im gonna replace my plugs, go looking for a sept belt tool and a valve adjuster tool.

O.P. Got my vtec system malfunction code cleared and car working properly, then installed new plugs, auto tensioner, idler pulley, VSC gasket/filter and belt. Car feels awesome now.

took the seats out and woolited those bitches and steam cleaned them. they looked good before minus the shiny crap all over the bolsters but now they feel and look brand freaking new. Then took and steam cleaned my carpet which shockingly was so gross. Then pulled the seats outta my legacy gt and did the same.... forgot to plug the occupant sensor back in so freaking air bag light was on and if you know 07 legacy's they have THE MOST annoying reminder ding that never stops so that was going until i plugged it back in.... all in a days work i suppose
