Im going to be dropping in a k24a2 w/ dcrh, custom 2.5" mid pipe, power rev racing resonator, spoon n1 axle back. Im wanting to get the most of the engine. My future plans is going supercharger. Knowing spoon n1 has a quite small outlet so I was just wondering if it's restrictive at all at certain hp levels. I love the exhaust to death, but I might have to let her go. I just want to see if there's any feedback with that exhaust.

02SIHatchback did a few dyno plots with different tips back (way) in the day and found the Spoon and OEM mufflers to be very flree flowing. This was on a 300 HP a3.

I've used the Spoon piece on my S/C'd frank with no regrets.

Ya, its all about exhaust velocity, its not a turbo setup, and if you go too big on s/c you'll start losing power from what I understand

It should be just fine, 2.25 is typically the right size for n/a, maybe If you start getting up to 300+ you may need 2.5, and s/c likes 2.5 piping.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I've gathered, but I'm pretty positive on the n/a part.

High power (220+) N/A motors and S/C motors are both happy at 2.5. Some of the S/C guys go a little larger for later plans (aftercooling, meth, n2o, twin screw, etc), but generally speaking 2.5 is fine. 2.25 is a bit restrictive above 200 whp.

That's what I like to hear. I didn't want to leave her but if it's going to stop me from getting 10-20 ponies out I would have to let her go. I love the look and sound, and it aint loud, it's a melody to my ears. I guess I havent heard the full potention. Im going from k20a3/ dc shorty/ cat/ megan mid pipe/ spoon n1 to k24a2/ dcrh/ custom 2.5"/ p2r resonator/ spoon n1.
