A1 ep3 vs. Tsx 6spd?

So my buddy keeps callin me from up at college sayin his roomate is dying to burn me and all this. I tell the kid ill run him and he wants to do it for some money because he swears hes gonna murder me. He has a 6spd tsx(idk what year). The only mods my friend said it has is i/rh/e. Im runnin an a1 with skunk2 stage 2 cams,supertech springs and retainers,rbc with thermal gasket,kiddracing raceheader,pwjdm powerchamber, A 2.5 inch megan catback and motor mount inserts. I also have a good tune by yosolo but still have the stock 5spd. I feel like i shouldnt have a problem but wanted to see what you guys think? Is it easy money or should i jus do a funrun? I know im gonna get flamed for being a ricer and a murderer etc but we're doin it on a 3 mile straight through farmland. Never any traffic. Still frowned upon i know:( Soo what do you guys think?

if its an 06-08 tsx slight chance cause of the weight of the car but if its an 04-05 you should be able to pull before he even hits vtec 6th gear is for cruising not racing hell i pull a full fender on a tl type s witn basic bolt on and kpro with an a1

You'll kill that tsx.. He probably thinks just because his car isnt the typical "Civic" that its faster than the "lower end" model line that is Civic.

Hahaha... He should race Civics more often, his little TSX will get raped all day long and than he'll keep quiet about his 4 door fwd 4cyl Honda boat.

honestly from what you posted i think you can smoke his car. think of the power to weight ratio right now between an ep3 and a tsx. the tsx is a somewhat luxurious sedan and an ep3 is a sports car. and your hatch has got a k24 with modded internals. i believe you have a great chance but it will be an interesting race. post videos if possible

5 speed is better for drag racing. But it won't matter. You probably make more power, and your car weighs less. Bet him $100. Check under his hood and see if he's bullshitting or not. It goes down like that all the time in Stl, MO

you'll spank him, even if it is an 06-08 model. guarantee he's not even making 175 whp. when i had I,H,E, & hondata reflash on my 6 spd '06, i just barely made 180whp. if it's an 04-05, don't even bother wasting your time.

dude your gonna walk him, i love the TSX and all, and there's no doubt the K24A2 is an amazing engine, but with your car you will eat him, i beat one with my A3 before the supercharger when i was bolt on and tuned and the tsx was i/e

the 6speed trans is geared shorter meaning better accel. not sure how different it is on the TSX 6spd.. but i know the type S 6spd is a world of a difference from the a3 5spd.. meaning it is better

It wont matter if he runs his fan. Its inside the car and its got an electric motor spinning a squirrel cage type of fan lol It has nothing to do with the engine performance. AC however is a different story.

turning the fan on in an 04-05 will turn the ac pump on, even with the button off. unless that ac over ride thing fixes that.
