What could cause my air/fuel ratio to be pegged out Rich? (10.??) During autocross I had noticed if I hit redline it would back fire like a rally car, and it just felt like it has been running rich, so I datalogged and sure enough its pegged out rich 100 percent of the time.

Now I am not throwing a CEL or anything, but tommarow im going to lift her up and see if one of many cones I hit may have possibly got to one of the primary O2 sensor wires during one of my runs. At least thats my only thought. Ive thrown codes before and when I took it to get read in the past it pulled up an error at 2 different spots, now I figured it may have just been my gas cap, I havint read of that port not working and cant find anything on it, but that still does not explain not having a CEL light up for a faulty O2.

Also if it happens to be the O2 sensor where have you all bought yours for cheap? ive found a Bosch o2 sensor but it does not specify if its a secondary or primary.

Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Without having the codes read we cant do a thing!

What makes you think the o2 sensor is bad and not something else wrong causing the rich condition.

First thing first, buy a code reader, they are not that much, read the codes and then reset the ECU and do an idle relearn. THEN go in and enable OBDII reporting and drive around and see if it is a emissions item.

Thats what im saying is that there is no code to be read, no CEL, no nothing, and I havint had one in forever. I know its a shot in the dark but I just need ideas on what to check.

Even though there are no check engine light, I would still check. There could be a pending code. Pending codes do not light up the check engine light until it hits it twice.

Just curious, if he said in the original post that he datalogged (meaning he is at least running KPro) wouldn't Kpro tell you what the code is in the engine error codes window?

If OBDII is turned OFF, then those error codes will not cause the CEL light to illuminate, but will still be generated and stored internally.

I would look at the datalog and see what the sensor is actually doing, is it constantly full rich? or just at WOT ? Open loop or closed loop? Alot more info is required, even a short datalog and your cal would be helpfull to look at.

Ok let me go boot up the laptop and ill upload the datalog and cal, its really slow so its going to be a few minutes lol.

Ok heres the kal and a very very short datalog and that af ratio is what it does 100 percent of the time, all my other data logs are about 900kb to a full mb and ephatch says there too big. I searched the other datalogs and saw no error codes.

here we go found out how to cut them down

Your o2 sensor is either dead or your wires/wiring got disconnected/shorted out. You also have real knocks according to the last datalog. Amazon & clubrsx have the o2 sensor (actual denso) cheap. However, since you're turbo, I'd recommend getting a plx/aem wideband, wiring it into har ess that way if you do need to replace the sensors, it would be only $50 to replace them every time they go out.

So I got under her and my ricer days may have come back to bite me in the ass, had a shop years ago put in gauges one of which was a narrow band af and guess what was spliced into. So I have the new one in and am waiting for a laptop to check it with I'll update this after I find out thank you everyone.

So for 10 seconds I was cussing and yelling cause I datalogged from startup and it was pegged rich still, then it magicaly started working. My guess is it was still getting power but one of those splices for the readings shorted just that part out but who knows.

weird, i went over a railroad and scrapped, and my car felt funny after that, checked kpro and i too am at 10.7 100% of the time.

Id definatly check the wiring. Im running a test pipe so it kind of just hangs there. Its not to low but I think im going to insulate the crap out of it with electrical tape to protect it from water and what not, and adjust the wiring higher. I got a bosch o2 from autozone for about $150 btw.

I don't mean to upset you but the bosch o2 sensor is not the one you need. You should get the Denso 234-9005 or spend another $70 and get an AEM Uego and wire it into the harness
