I have a few questions for those of you that have innovative mounts. Specifically I'm having issued with the transmission mount.

1. My kit came with 6 bolts, I assume they are for the side mounts, but the bigger bolts don't match the thread of the ones that were on my car, and you can't re-use the stock bolts because the innovative mount is alot thicker. Did this happen to anyone else? get the wrong bolts... I know I can just go buy new bolts, but they will be kinda pricey due the grade requirement of the bolts

2. How did you get that transmission mount on? It seems like I wont be able to get to the bolts that hold the mount to the frame to screw in because of the braket on the trans, and dont think that would go on after the mount itself (Edit: I moved the bracket enough to clear room for the bolts, still tight tho)

Well it takes a very coordinated mechanic to get that mount bolted up, as well as the proper hardware. You need to purchase your own hardware if Innovative will not send you the proper hardware.

I double nutted the long studs on the trans and removed them and installed shorter studs AFTER the mount is bolted up to the frame.

And just ONE of the many reasons I DO NOT reccomend the Innovative mounts.

those mounts will not last that long i had them and they break very easy, the insert is what im talking about. the best mounts for our cars are avid.

You could lower the engine/subframe a bit as well, to get room to install the mount.

Yea I guess I should have done some more research before buying these... After doing a search yesterday saw alot of people talking trash on the innovatives, not too many people say why they're bad tho. I wanted a full set to replace all 4 mounts, and Innovative is the only one to make a front mount that I know of...

Oh well, Its too late to second guess that decision now, I guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope they work ok for me.

Now the Innovative Front mount is perfectly up to the task, as long as you get the softest compound. I say that as the torque/twist is taken up by the sides and partially at the rear and the front merely controls up and down and seeing AVID does not produce a front mount yet(their 3 mount set works fine with a stock front mount) the innovative front mount works(as long as it isnt their first production run(used))

double nutted the studs ! thank you for that priceless input talon racer. i've been fighting this mount for the last 2 days. i have the avid mounts and the other 2 went on easy as pie. the driver mount is making me hate my life .
