startup problem

Today was a hot day in new york i was in traffic and my my car started getting heated when i would barely move but would go down when i sped up i think. Later on i turn the car back on and it starts up revs to like 1200 then 1000 then back to 1200 idk what this means like it started up then sounded like it was going to die then got back to normal...

and i filled up the antifreeze yesterday...and my ac doesnt give cold air :/

i would check radiator fan plugs/relay but fans are prolly dead

where do you check that and how do you know if your fans are just done i had that happen in my old car

Take the car out for a spin, then come back and park but leave it running. Pop the hood and wait about 5-10 mins for the radiator fan to turn on. If it doesn't come on and the cars getting hot, its probably dead. The relay could be dead, the electrical plugs dirty/corroded, or the windings/bearings in the fans could be gone.
