Will it bolt right up? My clutch went and I want to go dc5-s because ive read that they are better.

i am sure it works, but along with a dc5 clutch you need a dc5 flywheel. and along with an ep3 clutch you need a ep3 flywheel

great thanks!

anyone know how much the dc5-s flywheel weighs compared to the ep3?

The ITR flywheel is 10.3 lbs, remember that you will need to purchase a DC5 spec clutch if you use a DC5 flywheel, the pressure plate alignment pins are in different locations on the flywheel of the EP3 and DC5. The stock EP3 fly and the DC5S fly weigh the same.

Yeah I already picked up a dc5-s flywheel for $50 bones. But if there isn't much difference between ep4 and dc5-s then I'll priv get an exedy lightweight flywheel.

I’ve never compared a dc5-s vs. ep3 flywheel side by side. So, I was wondering if you can easily tell which one a person is selling by just looking at it? Are the differences of the pressure plate alignment holes very apparent?

so, as far as the difference goes, the flywheel in the first picture would be Type-S (k20a2) and the flywheel in the second picture would be from our EP3 (k20a3). Can anyone confirm this?

I think that is right. I remember that the bolts to attach the pressure plate to the fly were not symmetric about the alignment pins/holes on my TypeS setup.

That is correct, notice the pin arrangement is significantly different between the two.

I would NEVER AGAIN install a ultra light weight flywheel like the Exedy/Prolite/F1 etc, anything under 10lbs is FAR TOO LIGHT for a DD.

Just picked up an ACT Streetlite flywheel.
