OK... so after a year of rambling about me getting coilovers. Finally I am getting them installed. it'll be daily driven. Anyways, does anyone out there know anything about HSD Coilovers? anyone who's using them? Is it difficult to install? special tools? any suggestions for setups? i want to be able to put a finger and a half between my 215-45-17 tires and the edge of the the... the... umm... damn it! im sorry i forgot what to call it. (dont you hate it when that happens?) the edge of the "tire well"? LOL...
but anyways... so any comments??? suggestions???

Why don't you just get springs if you want such a minimal drop?

i guess i still wanted the same ride height.
but thats why im asking for setup opinions. ive never been inside a car that has aftermarket coilovers. i just wanted to know what's the best way to setup it up for daily use? ANYONE OUT THER KNOWS or HAVE TRIED HSDs? hmmm. i guess i should also ask...

I run Progress coilovers, you install them with the springs about where you want and adjust from there after they are installed to get the proper ride height and equal fender/wheel gap.

Do not use a pickle fork to remove the tierod end, use the proper tool.

Yeah I used a pickle fork and destroyed my boots... Still never fixed em

Most coilovers come set with a nice drop from the box. In the past every set I've installed for people I throw them in, let them settle, then tell them to adjust em further if they want moar low.

I had to repair the front ball joint boot on my DD Accord after a friend used a pickle fork. I won't ever use/own one. I also suggest you don't either.

bye bye TEIN springs
welcome HSD coilovers!

yey! i finally got em on and alignments have been done!
with 1 and a half fingers between the tires and "fenders"

sweet! thanks to www.JRPonline.com!

It feels like a new car. stiff...
i don't have to worry too much about breaking early or too late anymore, i can barely feel the weight transfers. i can now go fast on corners! booyaah!!! i love it.

now if i can only save up for some new tires... hmmm... what do you guys think of CONTINENTAL DWS??? (for summer tires - i have falken all season for winter)

any suggestions?
