What coils did you get? And yes those red things i assume would help lol.
If i remember correctly there is supposed to be a bump stop plate or washer that goes underneath right before you put the top hat back on the strut. So in the strut you need to put the bump stop then the washer... on the top hat you are supposed to have two rubber bushings or whatever they are called sandwiching the top hat. Then you simply slide the strut from underneath and the washer should stop the strut from coming up through like that once bolted down.

It's been so long since i've seen a stock top hat mount like that though ,so if other people can help that would be great.

I put mine through the bottom, so I'm not quiet sure if this is right..

They are supposed to be like brand new. They are progress coils I bought off a member here

You forgot to install the washer and small rubber bumper UNDER the top cap.

On the shock shaft it should go washer, rubber bumper, top mount, the other rubber bumper, another washer and finally the retaining nut.

The red pieces are merely spring spacers(coil spring lift kit) and are NOT part of any Progress coilovers.

Make sure the rubber bumper with the angled side is put on the bottom.

BTW I am running Progress coilovers as well.

I would install those spacers on the springs, the stock progress springs will not seat fully when the car is jacked up and the suspension at full droop, the shocks have greater travel than the springs are long at rest.

glad to see you have them on.... and i see the tech that installed them gave you a major saggy ass. you gotta raise that ass up - ALOT.

i will send the keys asap - but in the mean time you can adjust them by hand like i told you... i did it all the time. i could adjust all 4 corners within an hour including taking off and putting back on the wheels.

please dont let those lube techs install anything else on your car. ok? lol

haha well those lube techs are good friends of mine. but the rear is good, the front just needs new tires and to come down more. currently have 65 series tires on the front and 60 on the rear lol

Glad that worked out man, but some advice, at some point you have to look at friends (if they keep screwing stuff up) and say "either stop and think, and stop fucking shit up on my car, or you're not touching it)

But im guessing you aren't at that point yet haha...

You'll want to bring the car up a lot when you autox it though, or you're hurting your handling...

this is so true. i didnt mean to offend by anything i said, but also speaking from experience. not ALL friends know what they are doing when they have power tools in their hand. LOL

i could tell you stories that would make your stomach churn.... i had to learn the hard way also to just tell friends... NO... you be the tool bitch! lol

and some people on here know who i am referring to... but we will all keep it chill. LOL
