Aren't they identical to the Civic EX's "Factory Performance Upgrade" wheels? I just glanced at the back of my December 2002 Super Street issue.

Shows how original Honda is. Hey, we're cheap like that. "Those rims would look cool on a Civic over here, and we'll charge $4000 for the package, sweetness! But let's not make them 17's, let's make them 16's."

ssvr6: How much do they run from the service dept.?

Good question. I know some people and I'm going to find out what kind of deal I can get.

Wouldnt OZ by authorized to supply us with CTR wheels?

Would my CTR wheels fit on your SIs?

The CTR style rims are actually made by Enkei for Honda. You can get them in Europe separately...you just have to locate them and pay for shipping to the states. If I ever find a set over here I'll buy 'em immediately.

They are optional equipment in many European countries. I just spoke to someone on jdmcivic.com in Denmark about them. If you can speak the language and get the dealer to ship they'll be yours. Go to Honda's worldwide site for links to European Honda sites and phone numbers. I'm holding off because I don't want to locate them before I have more than enough money.

the language barrier could be a problem, do UK dealers carry them also?

I really think these wheels look amazing on our cars. Does anyone know what they are called - if Enkei is making them for Honda, can we not get them from Enkei themselves or one of their dealers?

CleanBlackSi02

I called Enkei of America. They said they have nothing to do with overseas items as well as anything OEM.

DAMN DUDE!!! If our car just came with those wheels stock and a set of sticky tires. Our cars would be alot more popular and get WAY better reviews

Does anyone have any idea why Honda would not be offering these wheels? It seems crazy, they obviously suit the car very well and they could make money out of selling them. What reason could there be?   (I'm highly confused!)

Rumor has it these wheels were supposed to be the OEM wheel on the 02-up Si's, but Honda dropped the ball! I'd suggest a massive letter writing campaign to Honda of N. America complaining of poor resale value, poor magazine test results, and poor street credibility due in large part to the wimpy stock wheels and tires. Tell em we want to be able to buy those wheels separately! :D

PS I have a set and I'm just waiting for tires to come so I can put em on ;)

We should be able to trade our wheels for those. This 15x6 shit sucks. I think the normal ford focus had wider tires than the Ep. Hot damn!!

The part number for the 16x6.5 Civic Type R lookalikes from Honda in Germany is: 08W16-S6A-600A

http://www.athlondave.ca/CTR_16_Wheel.jpg

Honda.de lists them at 201.33 Euro's which is $318.79 Canadian or $227.98 US. I sure wish that they were available over here in North America as I just cannot find any wheel that really suits the car other then the CTR wheels. If anyone can get a set sent into Canada for a respectable price I would jump on them in an instant! They really look very respecatable on the EP's.
