hit the dyno this week with my ebay intake and different gas.

last dyno 600 miles
stock 87 octane
HP=130
TQ=115

Stock 91 octane 15,000 miles 12/23/02
HP=132.6
TQ=119.4
I don't think the gas had much to do with these numbers. I attribute the extra power to the 15,000 miles.

Intake 91 octane 12/23/02
HP=136.4
TQ=123.0
Good gains after 3.5K

intake 101 octane 12/27/02
HP=138.7
TQ=123.6
Not a lot of difference, but still a difference. Lost about 0.5 ft/lb before 5K and gaine 0.5 ft/lb after 5K. No hp difference till 5.8k.

I don't have the ability to post the dyno's yet, but when I get back home I'll put them up.

"hmmm thats kinda weird, i dynoed higher with my homade sri than the ebay one"

I was just saying that the ebay piece seemed to have lost some power (not much) compared to just taking out the airbox and adding akn filter on the rubber oem tube. But then again each car dynos different so, my point was null. --Joe

So which model K&N cone do you recommend getting to place on the OEM rubber hose (and to maybe save for later applications).

02--- guess what, i always thought an intake is an intake until I dynoed my car with an AEM cai. needless to say im REALLY happy..

shameless plug time:

AEM CAI and 2.25 midpipe to N1 muffler. --150 whp 131 ftlbs trq.

Nice numbers, I wish I could do that.
I don't know when I'll be able to add more mods to my car :( Only one source of income till my wife commisions in the Air Force and after that happens, she says we have to pay off the bills before I use any money for my car :( ..... I'd say 2005 will be the year I start up again :( boo whooooooo I need to go to Vegas

That's gotta be one loud EP. No resonator and an N1 muffler. Ouch. Don't forget about the ground cables;) They were good for 4HP:D
