Hey,
Im trying to help my girlfriend get a set of Rota Grids for her Ep. The ones im looking at are 17x9.5 with a +42 offset. I know 9.5 is pretty wide but will she have any trouble fitting that on her ep? She really loves those wheels. Also Would you guys recommend 215/45s or 205? Thanks for the advice everyone and im sorry if this was already posted in another thread. Im not very active on these boards.

The 9.5" plus the 42 offset will not work for our cars.
That's more like for the s2k's
I believe 17x9 +38 is the highest offset you can go with a 9"
so adding half an inch, plus 4 mm isn't going to cut it.
Tires: At that size you're going to be stretching, pretty hard IMO
215/45 on a 9" is pretty stretched
a 205 will be brutal.

205/40 is insane on my 9 wide grids. I would do 215/45 if you're after the look I'm assuming you are. Gimme one second and I'll double check clearance issues with that offset, but you can get those grids in 9.5 +30 which is basically the same amount of poke as my 9 +25
Edit: I checked and there is no wash that offset will work. You'll need the +30 to clear suspension components

Yeah I figured id run into problems with those measurements. However she changed her mind and decided she wanted to go with 16s so im back to the drawing boards to find some wheels. Thanks for the replies

Idk what kind of "fitment" you're looking for. But for an easy comfortable fit I'd go with 16x8 and 225/45r16's.
17's will look better in the long run I think. 16's are just a little small for our cars

Allllll depends on the tire size brah

Agreed... "fitted" 16's look too small. "Track/performance" sized 16's are usually alright

Yeah I actually think I like 16's with like a 205/50 tire better than 17's 205/45.
But definitely, if you're going stretched, 17's do it good

I wish the sub 9" had the same face as the 9 and up. Then I wouldn't give a shit what size they were lol
