Exhaust with sliencer affecting turbo'd car tunes...?

(I didn't know where to put this so I decided to put it here only because I'm turbocharged...)

So here's where the story starts...

So I get pulled over for the first time. Cop says says my exhaust is too loud and I told him I'd put a silencer. Then later of course I tell my buddies I get pulled over for my exhaust and also told him I'd put a silencer just to keep the peace and he tells me that I shouldn't and it will affect my tune. I understand where his logic is coming from... (restricting flow)

So would a silencer really have an affect on the tune? If so, like how much?

Yes it will affect the tune, it is no different than installing a restrictor plate to limit whp except it is on the exhaust. You will need to at least street tune.

what kind of exhaust are you running? I would swap in either a muffler or a resonator in the resonator spot and then toss on a vibrant flat black muffler
