My red stitching is turning black and the leather is loose when i turn the wheel:mcry::mcry: .was going to get the grip for the steering wheel (78501-S6M-A91ZA) and had some questions before i went and bought it.does the grip come with red stitching or black? I've seen some hatch members wit the the momo wheel, is that the grip or the whole wheel and where would i get 1? also what type of work would be involved after the wheel is reassembled.

Why not save up and get a bnib EP3R wheel? jdmland.com had some as well as hmotorsonline.com I believe I would look into a newer one over getting a "grip" for one.. Installation seems like it would be a rather bitch..

not really interested in giving up my air bag so i decided to get an oem grip instead of aftermarket and not a whole r wheel and from what i have read thru searches that the ep3r wheel needs moddifiying to the srs to make it work. please correct me if i am wrong .

Not hard work at all. It just had to have the sensor's replaced is all, 4 bolts and swap the part that's got the wires that tells the airbag to go come out.. No big deal took me maybe 30 minutes for the whole swap. My steering wheel was the same way you're saying yours is and I just so happened to have the ctr wheel in my coupe.. Well worth the money IMO because it looks better then stock and matches the already black and red interior we have.. There was a write up on here somewhere I'll see if I can find it and post real quick..

they were saying in this thread how the airbag light will be left on so idk that the usdm 1 has a different prong setup than the JDM

Yeah mine was on when I swapped them but the car was going into the shop the next day for a clutch among other things and they actually turned it off in the shop.. You can also trip it out on your own..

There's really no difference in the ctr wheel and stock but I'd rather have a newer wheel then doing the grip you're talking about seems like more of a hassle then anything to me.. Just my opinion not trying to detour you..
