Locking Intake Rockers

I have my intake rocker assembly locked in vtec is there anyway to keep it this way and not get a check engine light if everything else is stock on the car.

There is no sensor to detect that the rockers are engaged or not, but the ECU will know something is AFU due to the AF being messed up and could throw a code easily.

Why did you do that, vtec engages at 2800rpm on the stock A3.

had the turbo'd vtec killer setup with a2 cams and i dont feel like taking the extra step and changin the rockers

Talon, I thought it was 2200 RPM's? Lol.

Also, I've heard of people unplugging their VTEC solenoid as a fix.

Don't quote me, but I read somewhere on k20a.org of a manufacturer or somebody making a block-off plate to replace the VTEC solenoid for those running VTEC-killer setups.

I remember reading that you have to either disable VTEC in Kpro or set it as low as possible tricking the ECU it's always in VTEC so you can tune for the setup.

I have no idea honestly, that's why I haven't tried this setup yet even though I have the parts for it. :mconfused:

Yes i do, its a reliable setup that i turbo'd n got 303 with a lil boost. Im just putting everything back to stock to trade in. With the kid now this car isn't cutting it

Does anyone know if you can move the left rocker up and down by itself when there is a gap cuz i cant move either or and i cant remember if i locked them together?
