i just came across your site. well i am wondering if anyone has done any extencive work to your motors. i have a 2001 civic ex that i have done up. just wondering if anyone can compete with me

well i have a eagle h beam rods, arias 11:1 pistons, crankshaft, de-stroked to a 1.6. so really i ahve a d16. ported polished head, cam shaft (380 lift), cam gear, block gaurd, bored , sleeved, arp headstuds, full fuel upgrade including a return fuel line, msd, stage 4 clutch flywheel, and a lot of other junk that i cant think of!

Destroked!! What the hell are you talking about. D motors are 1.5 and 1.6. I think you have been reading to many magazines. If you did do some of the things you are talking about you might be making close to the 160 that EP's are making in stock form. The single cam motors don't even compare to the Dual cam engines.

You know what your right I don't know much about D motors. I on the other hand know that you aren't makinf 400 horsepower to the ground on a NA motor. I have one of the faster ALL MOTOR drag cars in the Country and it makes 270 to the wheels.

de -stroking it will make you motor more stable and make it rev better. it will redline at 10,000 and it will put down 200 + hp n/a. and when i put the juice on it it will push 400+. in teh spring i would love to race everyong at the track

I'm going to be totally honest with you. If someone built this motor for you and told you that it make that much power they are lying. I have been around honda drag cars for the last five years. I have friends that have fully built B18's that make around 440 to the wheels they run Mid 9's with a 2000 pound civic body. It takes alot to make this amount of power. I have seen many guys trying it with D motors none of them have even ran in the 10's and these cars ran turbos. The small motors that we run can only take so much NOS you just can make 200+ hp on NOS alone. Sorry for the fun I have been having with you but this is the truth.
