Hey guys, what's up. I'm currently in the market for an ep3. I had an em2 for about 8 years. I went pretty ridiculous with the d17 and put down 490 whp with it. Anyways, I modded it the entire time I had it and got bored with the car. I parted it and sold it back in early 09. Since then, I've had an 03 accord v6 6spd and now own an 11 crosstour ex-l awd.

Well, the itch to mod finally caught back up with me. I really wanted to find a nice crx to put a k24 into but couldn't find one worth buying. I didn't want to spend 5k in paint and body alone, then do the engine, so I decided that the ep3 was the best bet. I don't have one yet but I'm wheeling and dealing through craigslist to try and find a decent one. Once I get it, I'll pick up kpro and do an 06+ k24a2 with a k20a2 tranny. After that, I will eventually run a turbo setup. I'm not looking for anything to ridiculous, just a nice 400 whp or so will be plenty for me. Anyways, look forward to getting to know everybody, I imagine I'll spend most of my time in the forced induction forum.

If you're going turbo with that hp goal it might not be necessary to go with a k24a2 might still hit that goal with a boosted k24a1 and save some $$$ on building that motor and on that boost...

Thanks man. I definitely need to research the engines more. I never bothered to learn major differences with k engines because I never figured I'd use it. Time to brush up, lol.

Sounds like an awesome plan! I'd vote to stick with the EP3 5spd gear box. I've read over and over that it's the better option for a high HP boosted set-up.

What color are you going to be looking for? :mwink:

My preference is taffy white but the one I'm looking at is nbp. I won't be boosted for a few months, I have time to get things together.

White is always a classic Honda color. Everyone used to tell me how clean my car was (Taffy), and it was usually dirtier than gym socks. Definitely will look good

That's exactly why I'd like that color. Problem I'm finding is that most people have their eps listed over book and nobody is willing to negotiate at all. And they wonder why their car isn't selling. Well, tomorrow is the big day, I hope it works out. I'm going to be buying my wheels today so I should see them next week.
