Racing helmet

Do you need one to go to a track wether it be a drag strip or a road course/auto cross etc?

if so where can i go to get one?

Road racing and autocross you need them. Drag racing only usually requires them if you have a convertable, and or fast enough to hit 13's in the 1/4. Most autocrosses have loaner helmets, but other than that you have to get your own. Start looking here. (http://www.soloperformance.com)

Back in High School, some friends and I decided to act dumb and wore our Racing Helmets to school :rolleyes: That was back when I had a GSR, and we all rolled to school with racing helmets. Gayness...

Well that depends on what helmet you are getting. Do some research and find out what you need. Don't just go wasting money to buy any helmet. I got an open face helmet for $70 to my door. It's good for scca and that's all that matters to me.
