what up guys so i have my CEL on and i had one of the mechanics to run it through the device and it spat out P1298 and P0172. I'm aware that the P1298 code is the ELD, i just have to replace that right? and for the P0172, which means that the fuel is too rich, what does that exactly mean? and if anyone has encountered these 2 problems, did it seem like the car was not pushing out any power? sometimes when i'm in first and take off it lags, like no power kicks in, and after a bit it kicks in. any inputs on this would be greatly appreciated thanks ! and i would also like to know how the P0172 have a connection between the P1298

I made a How-TO for the P1298 in the How-To section it's a sticky. You only need to replace it first (it's 30$), then if the code reapear you might have an electrical problem. As for the other code, I have no idea sry

yeah i`m aware of that sticky, getting a brand new one for 20 bucks. and i also forgot to mention that the mechanic said that the p1298 is related to the p0172 =T

sounds like a messed up o2/o2 wires. climb under the car and inspect your wires, maybe they caught something you ran over...

just a guess.

yeah, my brother said it might be the o2. but we`ll see, i`m gonna have my brother`s friend that`s a mechanic at the honda dealership to look at it. i`ll let you guys know how it goes.

i keep hearing that the older civics were using the same wires to supply power to the O2 sensors as they were to the ELD sensor and so on. Is this statement true for the EP3? if so, I'm pretty sure checking those wires will solve the problem of the P1298 code. Mine came up after backing out of my friends driveway which made a not too friendly sound! if anyone has an official solution, I WILL buy you a 6 pack of beer!

Thanks
