well when i bought my par it came with a black painted hood. i cant stand black paint, its too hard to take car off. i dont know if it has clear coat or not, if it does its not a very good coating. every two weeks this thing gets water spots all over it and loses whatever little bit of shine it has. i can scrub as hard as i want and nothing would come off. so its been almost a year since my full detail so i decided to start with my disgusting hood. here goes...

not the greatest pictures in the world, and they dont really do justice. this was all done by hand with 100% cotton fiber towels. wouldnt dare use my meguiars buffer on this, it will destroy my pads. the buffer would have definitely made it shine MUCH better and probably would have gotten a clearer reflection out of it

Wow nice work. It's nice to have a relatively flat piece like that to practice detailing on. I've considered polishing out my VBP but haven't worked up the courage yet.

Hope it stays clean for a while.
