Right now I have the K20A-IMG Hondata IM. Im going to be bolting a PRB IM to a k24a1 head. Will it mate right or am I going to need the K24A-IMG? Future mod with be a maxbore TB and PRC IM just for reference.

Thanks, Trevor.

you're good. only need the other one if you're using k24a2 head or k20z3 head.

I have a full k24a2, does hondata make one for it? More importantly, will it fit considering the tight clearance with the ep?

An easy way to remember is, if your head/IM requires an attached waterport, then you use a k24a2 or k20z3 gasket. If your head/IM requires a detached waterport, then you use a k24a1 or k20aX gasket. This follows suit with the Hondata IMG.

k24a1 and k20a3 IM gaskets are the same, its the EX gaskets that differ.

Sweetness, I didn't feel like having to sell that IMG and buy the other one.

I probably should have mentioned that I have an rbc intake manifold...

What if im runnin a k24a2 with rbc? Am i still fine with just the k24a2 gasket?

yeah if its an unmodified one. if you shaved off the coolant port on the RBC then you need the k20a one, and you'll have to tap the coolant port on the head for an NPT fitting.

with or without the IMG on an rbc on any motor, you will have to modify the rad support in the ep.

Yeah I noticed that after I posted it. But this thread was helpful for some other people. It openned their mind on the subject of the coolant passages in the other k- series head cylinders and intake manifolds. Im lazy can't help it.
