When did everyone first change their oil?

I think Honda is suppose to do it for me at 3,800, I have 3,100. And I couldn't find 5w-20 anywhere either, so I just used 5w-30.

I'm going to be following the 5K service schedule and my first and only oil change so far was done at 4,700 miles. Believe it or not the manual says you can go 10,000 miles under light conditions between services but anyone who does that should be imprisoned for murder .:D

Plus I don't think anyone around here runs their car under "light" conditions. Go for the sooner and more often the better.

mobil 1 fully synthetic every time honda oem filter. no more oil consumption issues. --Joe :) who believes that oil is "cheap" insurance.

i change mine every 3000 miles just to keep it safe,

when i worked at a honda dealership, i worked on cars, he had some old basterd bring his accord in on a flat bed truck, it had a blown motor it was fucked up bad the whole motor seized up,

well to get to the point he had the car for 2 years and never once chaned the oil he said the salesman told him it was a maintnance free car.

First change was at 4500. I'm at 5900 right now, so I'll prolly do it at 7500.

my first change was at 5,000
but ever since then i have done it every 2 thousand miles.
i dont know if it is because i am running 5-w30 or what but my car drinks the oil up real bad. Maybe it is from canyon driving because when im up there im at around 6k-7k rpm for long periods of time.

My first change was around 4900 - trying to stay close to the owner's manual. I'm a little over 7000 miles now and I checked the oil level yesterday and it's just under the top hole on the stick. Looks like I'm not burning nearly as much oil now.

#1 = 2700 miles
#2 = very soon (have 6100 miles currently)

Running Castrol Syntec 5W30...having oil consumption problems as well (put in almost a quart since my last oil change). Hopefully, that will go away after my next oil change. I've put over 3,000 miles on my ride since Thanksgiving day, but no more commuting to Chattanooga after next week. :) Got a direct job in G'ville, GA! :D

First oil change 3k, I have 5800 plus miles right now. I will probably change the oil this weekend. I like to change my oil every three months or 3k miles, which ever comes first.
