Hey all,

Looking to purchase an exhaust for the car. Not looking to break the bank, or put anything too expensive on the car for the simple reason that I drive it through the winters. That said, what are my options if I just want to replace the axle-back, or cat-back?

What are your current mods? If you don't have both the 2 bolt ons such as cai and race header then keep your stock exhaust on.

race header + megan midpipe all the way. I wish my car came with a oem axle back.. I was stuck with a tenzo exhaust. Never knew they made an exhaust.

Currently, only have an AEM V2 SRI. I like loud, but not tinny. Best bet would be to get a header before I start on the rest of the exhaust?

Wouldn't that be pointless to put the Megan midpipe with the stock axle back cuz the stock axleback diameter is tiny??

from what I have heard the stock axle back actually has pretty good flow when it is connected to a bigger midpipe.

I'm going to try the RSX 3" Thermal route.
obviously going to have to modify the "mid pipe". kinda sucks NOBODY makes a 3" for the EP3.

Kteller doesn't count cause you still have to cut it to length and you have to weld hangers....

I'd like to stay around $400 - $500, and something that can last winters. No cheap metal if possible. I really just want a nice growl, aiming for around 2.5" piping and a 3" to 3.5" muffler.

yea I agree, I have asp 3" exhaust piping and it had to be trimmed to fit because it was for an rsx even though the description said rsx/ep3

You're in the market for a T1R 63r. Trust me. Amazing growl.

T1R honda exhaust (http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByDepartment/Exhaust/HONDA) sound amazing.

this is also what my friend is recommending me. but i am not really contented with words only.lol currently searching for some sound clips. I dont really mind the price as long as i am happy with the bad ass sound that it will produce.

ep3moschini has a video of him playing around in the snow with his EP, it sounds like titty sprinkles. I know because I have the same exhaust :mwink:
I'll see if I can get a video of it in the garage for you, sometime this week

This weekend I'm putting on shorty headers, OEM cat, aftermarket midpipe, ans stock axleback. I hate "fart cans" with a passion and want to stay inconcpicuous since I speed everywhere anyway. I've heard that the stock axleback isnt that restrictive. If I were you though, and wanted to get a full cat back, I'd get one of the ebay full systems for like 100 bucks. They have decent reviews, and if it breaks in a year, who gives a fawk because it was only a hundred bucks.
