Specifically in Massachusetts.
I know the stock front ones are amber, and the rear red, probably so you can tell at night coming from the side, the front from the back.

I crunched my rear one, and the cheapest I could find online the stock rear , was $63.00 shipped

If they light up the same amber/red color its legal in WA but if they have clear blubs its a no-no

I have them in my fronts but I have yet to find good amber LEDs and 168s look like shit so right now there don't light up at all.

you can also use that vht red taillight spray they sell at pep boys. Just put it on in light coats or it will come out like crap

or just get jdm bumpers. i've been thinking of coming up with a creative method to delete mine over the winter.

mine are paint matched to the color of my car, gives it a much cleaner look but oem lights< paint matched lights< no lights
