my girl just bought me coax and component pairs. i know the line of speakers sound good, much better than stock. is anyone else running these? amped, non amped?

pretty sure these are my speakers, runnin them on an alpine pdx-f6 amp. love em! :D

hows the range on these bad boys? they bump pretty good? like a small sub?

Alpine type r is very nice but you're gonna want a sub if you bump, if I remember right they are very bright. An eq helps a ton

their ranges are nice and the speakers are pretty crisp. but yah, you need a sub to bump. lol

Friend had them in his speed 3 amped and eq'd with a 10 sub, sounded amazing.

I want some for my evo also with a 10, just enough bass.

Have 6.5 type-r's comp front coax back amped(@55 watts rms)... they sound good but there is no thumping. Next month I am buying a type-r 10 to fill the gap. It might have just been me but it seemed like I lost bass when I put them in. The music is extremely clear though so looking forward to the sub and it will be perfect for me.

got all four speakers ampd to a alpine pdx 4.150 "BEST SOUND SYSTEM EVER HAD" very big difference between amp'd and non amp'd

So the Alpine PDX 4.150 is a nice amp to run 4 component speakers? I'm planning on running some CTX65CS by ID as the fronts. Not sure what read speakers yet. I will also be running a ID v3 (I think that's right) 10 sub with its own amp. I'm a SQ guy. What equalizer setup are you guys running?

I was thinking of getting the type r's after I heard my friends, they sound very nice. Planning on running a fosgate punch 300.1 4 channel, am ping the fronts and bridging for a jl w3 8" sub. Any suggestions on ohms for the system? Will do a DIY fiberglass box build thread when the time comes.
