valve clearance k24a2

does anyone know if the valve clearance is different for a k24a2 with brian crower stage 2 fi cams or is it the same as stock i-.008 e-.010

Any cam other than the stock cam will require different valve clearances.

piston/valve clearance? valve/valve clearance? or lash? you will probably have to clay it to make sure. its only like 12 bolts or something after you pull the guts out of the head

the 06-08 engines have more clearance than 04-05. so depending you'll have to clay it or not. and you have to worry about 06-08 v2v clearances and vtc. it has 1mm over intake valves.

How can you use OEM valve lash specs on a larger lobe aftermarket cam?? Cam specs follow the cam... if you change cams then your lash changes too.

i know you have to adjust it, but your saying i can't readjust it for stock lash?

You can use k24a2 lash specs for k24a2 cams. If you drop in Brian Crower stg2 cams, you cannot use the k24a2 cam lash specs. You use what comes in the new cam box.

Even with my build (k20z3 cams) I have to use k20z3 lash specs even though im using a k20a2 rocker assembly on a k24a1 head. If I swapped out the k20z3 cams for k20a2 cams, then I would use k20a2 lash specs.

Lash specs always follow the cam... unless your setup is custom, then you use what your engine builder says.
