So how many of yal are running an internal wastegate setup?

If so what did you do to to run this setup?

Me and AKEP,one day were talking about routing the external wastegate downpipe into the exhaust to create a sort of a internal wastegate setup but more importantly just route that gas through the exhaust so the A/F sensors could read that gas information. Has anyone ever done this?

Recirculating the dumptube? I do this all the time but it is usually for noise or race requirements.

Never heard about it effecting the O2.

it doesn't, it still gets the same burnt gas. i'd feel better about having it my gate back into my downpipe though.

I love recircs, cept for the labor to do it right. Lately I have been using high quality single slip fits joints with great success and zero leakage.

Also they support the whole wastegate/dumptube combo so cracked dumptubes are a thing of the past.

Lol, the labor kills it with recircs though. I usually charge at least $250 for a single done right. Hopefully soon I will be doing an Sr20 Tial turbine topmount soon. He will have the option of unbolting the recirc and running open dumptube for the track. :mcool:

Those Turbosmarts are 40mm vbanded wastegates. Better quality, most cost effective and more reliable than Tial wastegates. Its all I use now on builds and I am a authorized dealer. If you guys need wastegates or BOV's hit me up for special EPhatch pricing

So you said you make custom mani based off of evo turbos, when you put a evo 9 or X turbo with a internal wastegate on a non evo car, did you have to do anything extra to run that or was it a matter of just hooking up vac lines then they are good to go?

With the correct manifold all you do if hook everything up and boost away.
