I want to buy the service manual for my 02 Si. There's 2 now available from helminc.com, one is "2002 Honda Civic Si Hatchback Service Manual " and the other is "2002-2003 Civic 3 Door Service Manual." I'm inclined to think that the latter is better since it may be a little more current. What do you guys think? Anybody bought the second one and can vouch for the comprehensive coverage of the 02 Si?

Just thought I would answer my own post, I went with 2002-2003 3DR Civic Service Manual (61S5T01) for my 02 Si and it's exactly what I expected. It's totally dedicated to the USDM Civic Si, it may be better than just the 2002 service manual (61S5T00) since it may cover errata if there was any in the first release.

Hey, what kind of info is in the helms manual? I am looking to buy the same manual as you for my 02 si, but was just wondering if it was worth it? Too bad nobody responded before, but your post was helpful. Thanks, Ocelaris

Its just the info for the hatchback...none of the other civics. good buy.

Helm does all of honda's printing for them...owners manuals and service manuals too...so they are the same manual technicians in the shop at your local honda dealer use.

Yeah, it's quite expensive, two things I've actually used it for now:

electronic diagrams, i.e. which wires trigger what, and where they are.

torque settings, when I did my coilovers.

I plan on doing an alarm myself soon, and after lookin around for some of the wires, no regrets, very useful.
