Well, both of my Ep3's aren't too far from completed projects, so I thought I'd pick up a fun new project that goes back to my roots of modifying vehicles. Well that and my gf wants to learn how to drive stick (and I don't trust her with the Eps), so picked up a new Ford 2.3 turbo project.....swapped into a 1987 325iS Bimmer!!

I just thought I'd share to see what everyone thinks.:mbiggrin:

Ford Motorsports A237 cam (coming soon, sitting in the closet from 10 years ago)

Super Coupe 65mm TB (coming soon, sitting downstairs from 10 years ago)
Ported lower intake (coming soon, sitting downstairs from 10 years ago)
Cheap ebay front mount intercooler
Holset he351ve 59mm (swapping out K&N for HKS filter)
3" down pipe leads to a 3" bullet muffler and then splits into dual 2" (soon to be changed to single 3" Borla muffler)
WC TC T5 3.97 1st
Hydraulic Bell
B&M Hammer shifter
Pyropete clutch/pressure plate 1000 miles
2.93 LSD differential
Dunlop sport A2 195/65/14 (swapping stock rims for either my 15" Volks or my 15x10 & 15x8 BBS RS rims/tires)


255 pump
Rail mounted AFPR
75psi low impedance fuel injectors

looks clean!

is this a common swap for that type of bmw? never seen it before. i'm sure all the diehard european car guys hate it too haha:tehe:

You are so going to piss off bimmer guys with that drive train. Sacrilege! Which is awesome. Anyways, you now have an awesome garage, good luck on the build.

Im digging it! Had a friend in VA that did a similar swap into a late 80's Ranger pickup. Bigger turbo and all. Thing was a blast to ride around in...
