A legit GT2860RS with a .8x externally gated hotside just showed up in my parts room. actually its been sitting for like 4 years but we just found it again...too small for k24? im in an uncomfortable spot right now, but if anyone sees this before i find out, is there a 30r compressor/chra that would fit this?

My vote is yes, it's too small for a k24

the back housing on it would actually be a little small from what i have been reading. they say with a gt series to go with a gt2871 or gt2876, with that turbo on a stock k24 you should still be able to break 300-350 but it will be pretty much maxed out there. from what i have been reading at least.

yeah, its a little below the range im looking at. i'd still be pressing with a gt30 unless i went tubular. the only "perfect" one i can find is a gt35r.

anywho, its for sale. brand new. (<700 miles)

exactly. im from the nissan camp and we are bery big on gt series turbos for the most part. ive had a bunch of sr20's. ive ran t25s t28s and a t28718r .86 before. a disco is bewteen the t28 and the 718r. the max power your gonna make is in the area of 350whp +- @ 18psi. still going to be plenty of power for the streets.

its really up to you and what you wanna spend. the next size up is the 718r wich come in two hot side sizes, .64 and .86. i ran the .86 and on my sr20det in my nx2k (fwd b13) i made 400whp and 37x wtq @ 18psi.

like i said its really up to you and what you want to spend. the sad part is today everyone wants to see 600whp plus but the reality is 400whp in fwd is the limit imho. and even at that limit its to much for a fwd car imho. thats why i went back to all motor !

good luck with whatever you choose.

i think it has a fat ass .8x hotside (not sure its not infront of me) so it should flow fine for a k24. im looking for the 400hp mark for the track, want to be able to attain 450 at max, 400hp efficiently. so this snail is not what i'm looking for. its going for cheap if anyone wants it.
