After I drive my car for a while and it's at operating temperature, I start to hear a clacking/ticking noise from the transmission when I'm idling in neutral. The noise goes away when I push on the clutch. The noise comes right back when I let the clutch back out.

Car has 100,000 miles on it.
The clutch does NOT slip.

Has anyone encountered this before or have an idea of what it is?

BTW I have the stock k20a3 with an intake and exhaust. So I'm not putting serious power on the transmission or anything.

Sounds like a locomotive.

Anyone have any ideas? Trans fluid low maybe?

Sounds just like mine did! my best guess is release bearing.

Did you replace the release bearing and did it help?
