Ok so my car was straight piped (2 1/2")and really got on my nerves after a while so. I decided to to get a megan cat back... 3"..... Ok so my car is low but not really SLAMMED how the hell do you guys fit your exhaust under those slammed cars??? The resonator for the new cat back is exactly a inch off the ground...... any ideas on how i can get a little more clearance??? (Other than raising the car.) Its running 205/40/16 right now i plan to put 45's on it next to bring it up just a little + i think it will just look better.

It comes with being slammed
Go custom, run dual 1.75" pipes?

ep3jd had this exhaust and destroyed his resonator. the exhaust is poorly designed and puts the resonator in the wrong place, when it should be in the stock location for more clearance.

^^^That.

Either re-locate the resonator, or go custom (please do that) :pray2: I would love to see how it turned out/sounds. You could go straight all the way to the back and keep a stock look.

This. Seen it on here in a "lol what has jdm become" thread or something like that, clearly they were thinking "more low!'

I remember seeing people chat about it, but never saw pics. I don't think it's "JDM". It's just an attempt to make being dumped to the ankles more comfortable for regular driving.

It actually really pisses me off when people do some modification to their car (like a lip retro fit, paint wheels, clean up the car) and say " DUDE, THAT'S SO JDM!" :mmad: NO!... Just no. JDM is a market, Clean is an adjective. It's not a hard concept to fuckin' grasp.

Also, If no one else runs a dual pipes set-up in the next 6 months I'm gonna have to do something custom after the first part on my Type-R 2-piece manifold.

custom is the only way i see you being able to run a 3in pipe. it has to be tucked too if your low. only thing that sucks is that it shakes a lot.

You're correct sir. JDM/EDM. That thing is interesting.

Awkward piece but I guess it would serve purpose on a super slammed EP?

I think i am just going to cut out the res. and weld in a 3" piece of pipe to replace it then grind the bottom of the flanges down a bit and call it a day... who needs a res anyway lol

just hope the flanges don't break on ya.

I was suggesting a straight dual pipe setup. See what you can do I guess.

The exhaust i had b4 this was a straight pipe.. It was to loud and vary annoying on long drives. Not looking to go back to that.

With the straight pipe.. Vary Loud..

To pop more VTAK on a stock K20a3 lmao

Sounded like a good idea at the time haha. Why what's so bad about a 3"?

no reason for it on a stock k20a3, if anything your gonna lose power from it because it's too large. 3" is good for boost, NA builds and NA k24a2's

well i am thinking about a small turbo build for this in the future...
