Currently running the k20a3 with crower stage 2 cams K&N intake, cat back exhaust. Have picked up a k24a1 out of a CR-V. I also have a set of cams and intake from a 2008 Civic Si. I am wondering what the best build will be do I use the stage 2 cams or the Si cams and will the intake work? Also I was thinking of Hondata or AEM for fuel management, any opinions on which one to use I think it will probably come down to which one I can get a better deal on. If I use the 2008 civic cams what is required rocker arm wise? For reference my other vehicle is a 1970 Datsun 510 KA24DE running megasquirt, cv shaft conversion etc.

not sure about your cam questions, but k pro is much better than aem for the k series

^ he's right kpro the best way to go.
And stick to the crower cams. Also get a nice set of springs and retainers for them. If the k&n intake is a Sri, it sould be find.

yes the K&N is a short ram. Does anyone know if the 08 intake will fit and is it any better than my stock intake.

How are you running the crower stage 2 cams without k pro and not running lean??

Actually I keep setting a code for rich. Crower said I could run the cams without any other mods like injectors or k-pro. I am going to try using som Si injectors and see how that affects things

That sounds painful. I don't think the 310cc injectors will effect it. Im not sure if the stock ecu will recognize the bigger injectors and support it. I would just get k-pro first. It wouldn't make sense to spend 650 on camshafts and risk the engine to seize and not get the full results. What did you dyno with the stage 2 cams on a stock ecu?

I never dynoed the car with that setup. I don't have access to a dyno close to me. I have installed the bigger injectors and idle is smoother, also I do not have a flat spot about 4000 rpm. I had been running this setup for about a month with no bad results. However I am going to look at k-pro shortly as I do not think that the k24a1 will run safely at all with out better fuel management. I first have to rebuild the engine although it runs clean it has 420,000 kiloometers on it.I figure on port and polish head my stage 2 cams and I should have a good street setup.
holy hell get kpro. the 08 intake MANIFOLD will fit, i think thats what you're talking about. you'll have to cut off the coolant port on it though. you'll feel a difference with kpro real fast. hit me up when you get it.

Will my throttle body fit that manifold? I was pretty sure that it would bolt to the block. Oh yeah only paid 300.00 for the cams. Sale price. Had to replace them as #3 exhaust lobe lost its abilitiy to open the valve. Strangely enough the rocker looked fine. Regular Synthetic 5w30 oil changes every 5000 km. Mind you my car regularly sees redline.
